Man Fashion: Headdress

The headdress once served as a symbol of authority, power. In Ancient Egypt only the pharaoh could carry big headdress made of a striped fabric, which the crown was put on. All others classes, except for slaves, were content with wigs from a vegetative fibre. Wealthier the person, the wig was bigger and ringlets were more magnificent.

The type of hats men wear depends on what the occasion is or the environmental conditions are. Men's hats greatly differ from hats typically worn by women.

Hats are still worn by many people in today society, but for different reasons than before. Now hats are more for functionality (such as keeping warm in the winter), or for looking fashionably appealing. The popularity of baseball caps has grown exponentially during the last decade among both men and women. Most young men wear baseball caps because all their friends are also wearing them. Younger men are not the only ones who wear hats for fashion reasons. Some older men, when they begin to lose their hair, choose to cover it up by wearing a hat.

Man Fashion: Patrik Erell Men Fall 2008 Collection

If you are looking for man sporty elegance style, then you are not require to look for alternative, Patrik Ervell has released his latest sporty fashion collection in NY fashion week recently.

Shawl collared one button jackets were layered over knits and button ups and paired with refined trousers that looked as comfortable as they did smooth. Other trousers had double pleats that looked refreshing instead of frumpy making a compelling argument for the overlaps of fabric.

Hoodies added a touch of functionality and sportiness to the collection as high collars overlapped giving the appearance of a double breasted neck. Meanwhile pull-over knit sweaters had double breasted shawl collars, which looked great alone or layered under a sportscoat.

Charcoals, beige and grey were the basis of a palette that came to life as gold made a significant appearance towards the end in the form of foil metallics and knits.

Man Skincare: Aromatic Oils

So far there is not many discussion on men's skincare. I think it is fair that fashion styles should also include skin care. So today I will touch on another skincare tips, aromatic oils or also known as fragrance oil.

If you think that aromatic oils are only for woman, you are wrong. Many essential oils now are specifically created for man skin care. The fact is that such oils are for everyone who wants to pamper their skin with healthful nutrients and minerals that can give glowing results.

As far as aromatic oils are concerned, skin care for men does not need to be complicated. All you need to do is by add a tiny amount on your lotion or moisturizers; this can give invigorating benefits to your skin.
As aromatic oils are very generic, it can be used on all skin types, for both men and women. Hence, it is not surprise that some of the aromatic oils labeled themselves as a man skin care product. It cleanses and moisturizing even the toughest skin type of men. Moreover, essential oil helps in smoothing the usually rough areas of the man’s body such as the knees and elbows. Around the facial areas, it helps minimize the lines as well.

Man skincare Tip
If you have scars, even the old ones, aromatic oils is said to help in minimizing the scar as it helps in promoting the emergence of new skin cells around and within the scar. I personally have not not tried this, but some said regular application of the oil in the scar area have brought some positive results. It's up to you whether you believe or not.
